School Annual Report 2024-25

I take immense pride in presenting the annual report for the academic year 2024-25. 

I would like to begin by remembering our founder, Late Sri S. Ramanathan sir. His vision and values continue to inspire us every day. Our school’s motto, “Learning where merit and values converge,” honors his legacy and guides us in preparing students for a bright future. With the strong support of our management and the dedication of our qualified and passionate teachers, our school is steadily progressing in all areas. 

Academics

This year, academically our students have yet again made us proud with their outstanding 

achievements. —- I am delighted to announce that we maintained our tradition of 100% results in both Grade 10 and Grade 12. 

We also celebrated the achievements of our very first batch of Grade 12 students, who have secured admissions in some of the prestigious institutions, including top engineering colleges and the esteemed All India Institute of Science. 

Our top-performing students, Abhishek Nandan, Anjali, Sadhana, Vibha Chirantan, Hardayaveena, were recognized in a special ceremony to honour their hard work. This success is a testament to their effort and the guidance of our teachers.

Parents Orientation Program

At Shri Sharda Public School, we believe that the key to a child’s overall development lies in the partnership between the school and the parents. In this regard, we ensure that parents are actively involved in the academic journey and co-curricular activities of their children. To foster this collaboration, we organize a comprehensive Parents Orientation Program at the beginning of each academic year.

Career counselling: -

Education, for us, is about more than just grades; it’s about preparing our students for life. This year, we introduced a career counselling program for students from Grades 9 to 12, inviting professionals from diverse fields to campus. Through this program, students had a unique opportunity to explore various career paths and job opportunities.

CO-CURRICULARS

Co-curricular activities are equally important in shaping well-rounded individuals. This year, we organised a lot of art-integrated activities that let students explore the diverse traditions, languages, and customs of India, making them appreciate our country’s rich heritage. 

We also observed major festivals and national events on campus, celebrating each one in a unique way. For instance, during Dasara, students recorded daily videos explaining each day’s significance, connecting them more deeply to our culture. These experiences broaden our students’ culture, perspectives and skills, helping them grow into confident and dynamic individuals.

Kindergarten Co-Curricular Activities

At Shri Sharda Public School, we focus on shaping young minds to be kind, responsible, and healthy individuals right from the start. In Kindergarten, we emphasize good manners through dedicated weeks like “Good Manners Week,” helping children develop respect and empathy. Hygiene education is also a priority, ensuring that students are well-trained in personal care. Additionally, through sensorial activities, children explore and experience their sense organs, fostering curiosity and learning. Our annual fruit and vegetable exhibition introduces them to healthy eating, teaching them about different vegetables and their health benefits, instilling the importance of a healthy lifestyle early on.

Sports

Along with academics and co-curriculars, physical health is also important for overall 

success, and we at SSPS believe in nurturing both mind and body. We held our annual sports event at Chamundi Vihar Stadium, where students experienced the thrill of competing in a professional sports stadium. They participated in track events and team games with energy and enthusiasm, showing true sportsmanship. Our students also represented the school in inter-school competitions in sports such as basketball, volleyball, throwball, and kabaddi. These events help build skills and qualities like teamwork, resilience, and confidence.

Interschool competitions:-

Beyond academics, our students have also excelled in various inter-school competitions. Whether it was art, drawing, debates, or science-related events, they have shown their brilliance in every area. I am thrilled to share that, in just the first semester, we have secured three overall championship trophies. This reflects how our students are making incredible progress in all fields.

Other Initiatives:

In addition to academics and sports, we have taken some new initiatives to enhance student development.— 

To mark the beginning of our Kindergarten students’ learning journey, we introduced the Akshara Bhysa program. This initiative aims to inspire a love for learning and connect children with Indian values from an early age. Through this program, we celebrate our rich cultural heritage, helping young minds take their first steps in education with a deep sense of pride in their roots. 

Clean Classroom Initiative 

We started the Clean Classroom Initiative to encourage students to take responsibility for keeping their surroundings clean. Through this, students learn the importance of a clean environment and are motivated to maintain it. This initiative has helped students develop good habits and was recently praised in major newspapers as a great initiative. 

Star of the Month Initiative 

We believe that recognizing students for their behaviour and leadership is just as important as academics. To encourage this, we introduced the Star of the Month award, which honors students for their positive behaviour, leadership, and responsibilities. By awarding these badges, we aim to shape students who lead by example and inspire others to follow in their footsteps.

No Bag Day (Bagless Day) 

We introduced No Bag Day on the 4th Saturday of every month to give students a break from academics and focus on developing essential life skills. On this day, students engage in activities that promote creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving, helping them grow holistically and preparing them for the challenges of the future. 

AWARENESS PROGRAMS 

At SSPS, we focus on raising awareness about important social issues. This year, we oriented high-grade girls about menstrual hygiene, ensuring they are informed about their health care from an early stage. We also conducted a fire safety program in collaboration with the fire station, educating students on how to stay safe and take preventive measures. Additionally, our students actively participated in various initiatives like the Green Deepavali with Vijay Karnataka and Vraksha Raksha Bandhan with GSS Group, promoting eco-friendly practices and environmental conservation. 

Conclusion:

Each of these achievements and initiatives is a step forward in our mission to nurture our students in the right way. Our journey this year has been full of growth, success, and dedication, A special highlight has been the expansion of our infrastructure with the addition of a new S. Ramanathan memorial block, which will serve our kindergarten and higher secondary Grade 11 and 12th classes. and none of this would have been possible without the support of management, the hard work of our teachers, and the enthusiasm of our students. 

I would like to conclude by extending our sincere thanks to all the parents and each and every one of our well-wishers who have supported us through the years, in every step of our journey.
